The Critical Role of Adoptee Services and Community
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2018 6:30PM
Gladney, 89 5th Avenue, Suite 801 New York, NY 10003
This event is designed for families with children, toddlers to teenagers, who are interested in a discussion surrounding the many facets of being an adoptive parent today.
Our three panelists belong to a locally based national organization named Also-Known-As whose mission includes empowering the voice of adoptees. Through mentorship programs and other activities, Also-Known-As has been creating meaningful connections for adoptees to integrate across lines of experience and communities as each navigates their individual life journey.
Marissa Martin, Also-Known-As Advisory Committee member and former President
Misha Ulrich, Director of Mentorship of Also-Known-As Board of Directors
Lucia Zerner, FCCNY Young Adult, Also-Known-As youth mentor
With this event we hope to create a safe space in which to explore issues of diversity and identity development. The event is open to all members of the NY/NJ/ CT tri-state area adoption community. We look forward to having you join us!
