CAA Family Event: DC Meet-Up at the National Zoo!

Join Chinese Adoptee Alliance's (CAA) Family Events Committee on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 12:30-4 PM at Smithsonian’s National Zoo!

This event is open to Asian adoptees of all ages and family members. Registration is free, but space is limited - make sure to RSVP at the link here! Tickets will be first come, first served.

Activities for the whole family include:

• Carousel
  
• Visit with farm animals
  
• See pandas, elephants, monkeys, sea lions, and so much more!
  
• Meet others in the DC-area adoptee community, and have fun with new and old friends!
  

Details:

• We will gather at the zoo entrance at 12:30pm and head into the zoo together as a group at 1pm, our assigned ticket time.
• After you register for this event, you will be emailed your timed ticket to enter the zoo.
• We will bring snacks and drinks, but feel free to bring your own lunch/snack or purchase food and drink at the zoo!
  
• After we meet and converse at the zoo entrance at 12:30pm, we will head into the zoo at 1pm and visit some animals! You can choose to stay with the group or explore on your own!
  

Transportation:

• We suggest taking the Metro/public transportation/rideshare. The closest Metro stop is Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan. The L1 and L2 buses stop in front of the Zoo's main entrance on Connecticut Avenue. There is also a Capital Bikeshare station nearby.
• If you prefer to drive, zoo parking cost is $30.00 and requires a Paid Parking Pass reservation. Street parking is possible but it can be challenging.
