FCC Drawing Night
Influenced by the positive remarks of our previous poetry sharing and reading, the NYC Social/Casual Events Committee has decided to continually host more creative events. Therefore, we'd like to invite all YA adoptees 15+ to our FCC Drawing Night via Zoom!
During this event, participants will work on various drawing prompts chosen by our team. We will engage in fun art exercises, such as:
Drawing in Response to a Poem/Song: participants will have 5 minutes to draw anything that comes to their mind while hearing a song or poem read out loud.
Contour Drawing Exercise: without looking at your paper, participants will draw an object, such as your hand, in one continuous line without lifting your hand from the page.
Spilled Stain Exercise: participants will spill tea, coffee, or any other colourful water based liquid on a sheet of paper to create a random stain. Then, once it dries, you can create an image with the stain using a pen/pencil.
Materials needed: a piece of paper (or a sketchbook), a writing utensil (pen, pencil, etc), and tea/coffee/coloured water (anything that will leave a stain).
Where & When? via Zoom on Friday May 28th at 8 PM EST. Register to receive the zoom link!
