Adoptee Forum - Sound Play: How Music Moves Us 1/25
In this 70 minutes online sound play, we will experience music through a series of games. We will investigate sound and emotion, dramatize movement, play with rhythm and vocalization, and reflect on the music that surrounds us. We will build self-awareness and understanding of how music helps us process our feelings, emotions and personal identity. No prior musical experience or knowledge is required. About Jordan Jordan Pyle (She/Her/Hers) is a professional musician and Chinese-American adoptee. She plays 2nd oboe/English horn with the Reno Philharmonic, is a founding member of Our Time Wind Quintet, and is an active freelancer and teacher. As a substitute musician, she has performed with the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, and the Colorado Symphony. Her background as a transracial, international adoptee led to her passion for musical storytelling, investigating how we use music to build community and identity.
