  • Yale University's Linsly-Chittenden Hall, 63 High St, New Haven, CT 06511

YALE CASPY FALL 2018

Dear CASPY Families,

Due to conflicting room reservation requests with another Yale student organization, CASPY needs to reschedule its event to Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. The new CASPY date is:

Saturday, November 3rd, 2018

11 AM - 4 PM (tentatively) at Yale University's Linsly-Chittenden Hall

We apologize for the sudden date change and any inconveniences that it may have caused. We hope that this date still works for your family and we hope to see you at the event.

Registration will go out in the next couple of weeks so do look out for that!

In the meantime, if you have any concerns or questions about the Fall CASPY date, please feel free to contact us at yalecaspy@gmail.com or through our Yale emails: y.zheng@yale.edu and anna.zhou@yale.edu.

Best wishes,

Yale CASPY

Co-Coordinators 2018

........................

Welcome to the Chinese Adopted Siblings Program for Youth (CASPY) at Yale University! Our names are Ying Zheng and Anna Zhou, and we are thrilled to be CASPY co-coordinators for 2018! We were previously the Teens Program and Kids Program Chairs and CASPY has been one of the most meaningful commitments during our Yale years.

A joint project of the Chinese American Students Association (CASA) and the Taiwanese American Society (TAS), CASPY is a bi-annual cultural event held on Yale’s campus that seeks to inform Chinese adoptees and their parents about Chinese culture. Two times a year, in the spring and the fall, we invite you to join us for a full day of fun activities and events in our Kids, Teens, and Parent Programs.  CASPY is held on Yale Old Campus.

Participating children are paired with Yale “Big Sibs” and placed into the Kids and Teens Programs. Highlights from past programs include Night Market with games and prizes, Calligraphy Workshop with Professor Su Wei, and different culinary activities with delicious food. Parents attend meaningful panels and discussions to connect with each other and to explore the many faceted topics surrounding adoption.

CASPY is a great opportunity for adoptees to connect to one another and learn more about Chinese culture and identity in a fun and relaxed setting. We strongly believe that early, positive exposure to Chinese culture and the Asian-American / Chinese Adoptee communities can be extremely formative. Plus, we guarantee that you will have fun!

We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you so much for your support – it means so much to us.
