For this Winter Season, FCCNY will facilitate an
adoptee holiday postcard exchange!
It's as simple as mailing a letter. Register by Dec 15th, and we will randomly assign and notify you of your recipient shortly after the 15th.
Look for our email with the contact details of your surprise recipient. You will need to send them the most beautiful postcard you can find during the holidays, before January 3rd. There's something special about getting a letter in the mail. This is about building community, having fun in the holiday spirit, and brightening someone else's day - don't let us down and forget to send!
We will also send your details to a secret sender, so expect some mail this season!
Please make sure BOTH your email and your address are up to date and correct before submitting.
We'd love to see photos of your postcards! Share by emailing photos@fccny.org or tagging us on instagram @fccny!
Who can participate? Chinese Adoptees aged 4-94!
For younger children, fill out the form in their name and we will send you the details of their own special recipient. Parents please help them write their postcard in their own words and handwriting. If you have multiple participants, you will need to fill out the form for each separately.
What should I write on the postcard?
Pretty much whatever you like! Tell your recipient about what you did over the holidays or maybe your end of year celebration plans. Don’t be afraid to get creative!
Can I send several postcards?
Sure! You can write your secret recipient multiple times or register multiple times to send to many different recipients.
Can I send a gift with my postcard?
Definitely! It is up to you to choose what you want to send, but please remember all ages are participating.
Do I need to pay to participate?
Registration is totally free, but you will need to pay for the postcard and the postage!
When is the deadline?
You have until the 15th of December to register. Shortly after we will send you the contact details of your secret recipient and then you will have until January 3rd 2018 to send your postcard.
FCCNY is not responsible for anything outside of facilitating the means to connect adoptees to one another.
