Join our second writing workshop for adult adoptees.
Exploring Our Past, Nurturing Ourselves
As we navigate our own adoption journeys, we often become triggered around issues of identity, race, culture, grief, loss and abandonment. In this two-hour workshop, we will explore our pain and confusion unique to adoptees and learn to heal old wounds through writing and reciting daily affirmations. This workshop will be moderated by Heather Schultz.
Heather was adopted from Seoul, Korea and grew up on Long Island. She received both a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Master of Public Administration from CUNY Baruch College. Heather's articles have been published in The New York Times, NBC News, New York Daily News, St. Louis-Post Dispatch and Library Journal. She currently works as the communications development manager at The Donaldson Adoption Institute and as an adjuct professor at CUNY Baruch College. Heather is also a former AKA board member.
