Join other international adoptees for our first writing workshop as we reflect on our adoption experiences in a safe and nurturing environment. In celebration of National Adoption Awareness Month, we will write an open letter to a birth parent or adoptive parent about the challenges and revelations on our path towards healthy identity formation.This workshop will be moderated by AKA Board Member Heather Schultz. Heather is the communications and development manager for The Donaldson Adoption Institute and freelance writer. Her articles have been published in The New York Times, NBCNews.com, New York Daily News, St. Louis-Post Dispatch, Direct Marketing News and Library Journal.

WHEN: Tuesday, November 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Cowrkrs Flatiron, 115 E 23rd Street (between Park Avenue South and 3rd Ave.), 4th Floor, NYC (please visit reception on 3rd floor first)
COST: FREE for current AKA members; suggested donation of $5 for non-members
