From 12 to 4 PM on Sunday October 18, Better Chinatown USA will host an Autumn Moon Cultural Festival and Lantern Parade in Leif Ericson Park, between 65th and 67th Streets and 8th Avenue in Sunset Park.This free, all ages event will include a traditional children's Lantern Parade from 2-3 PM from 65th Street to 51st Street along along 8th Avenue.

Founded in 2001, Better Chinatown USA is a primarily-volunteer organization dedicated to generating greater awareness of Asian-American culture. It organizes unique activities and events that bring the Chinese and Asian-American communities together with mainstream visitors.

In New York City, Better Chinatown also organizes the annual Lunar New Year Parade and Firecracker Ceremony, the Chinatown Independence Day Parade and Festival, the Christmas Gifts for Children and Seniors Festival, and numerous sports tournaments and community social events.
